This is what it's like to walk into Estadio Azteca

New, 14 comments

Estadio Azteca is probably the most famous stadium in North America and one of the most famous in the Western Hemisphere. The 100,000-seat soccer-specific stadium has seen countless important matches and has proven to be one of the hardest places for American teams to win, whether at the club or international level. Thanks to Stefan Frei, we now at least have a sense of what it's like to walk onto the field.

That's a lot of time for a visiting team to think about what is waiting for them. Let's hope the Seattle Sounders are up for the challenge.
