Oalex Anderson gets a World Cup Qualifier call-up

Oalex Anderson earns another WCQ call-up for St. Vincent and the Grenadines' as they play Trinidad and Tobago.

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

Clint Dempsey is no longer the only Sounder called up to this set of CONCACAF WCQs with Oalex Anderson earning another call-up for St. Vincent and the Grenadines' as they face off against Trinidad and Tobago in a two-match set on the 25th and 29th of March.

In 20 total appearances, Anderson has 10 goals for his country including one against the US National Team. Like Dempsey, he will not miss any matches for the First Team, though there was a chance he would see minutes in S2's opener on Friday the 25th, though unlikely. He'll also be unavailable, due to travel, for the second match of the season against Arizona United on March 30th. The first S2 match he'll be back for is April 3rd against San Antonio which is a day after the Sounders take on Montreal at CLink in MLS play.

Oalex Anderson has featured in two of the three MLS matches so far this season, playing 26 minutes and getting off one shot, losing one shoe and one flag (re-watch the SKC game and you'll see).
