Seattle Sounders FC planned for this year's World Cup Qualifiers and most other demands by various national teams. That's a good thing, because a total of eight players will be away from Starfire representing their nations. Today, Joevin Jones, Myron Samuel and the still-injured Román Torres join five previously announced callups.

Torres will be joining Panama as their ceremonial captain.

Jones, Anderson and Samuel will compete against each other as Trinidad & Tobago (Jones) faces St. Vincent and the Grenadines (Anderson and Samuel) in two matches over the break. They are in the same group as the United States, with T&T currently in 2nd with four points and a +1 goal differential. Vincy Heat are last in the group. Samuel will miss Sounders 2's home opener on Friday night.

Mansaray is with the US U20s at the Dallas Cup, and started in today's 2-1 loss to Fulham.

Morris and Miller are with the US U23s trying to qualify for the Olympics. Miller was a late call to replace Zach Steffen. They must beat Colombia over two legs in order to go to Rio.

Clint Dempsey is with the senior US side for their two games against Guatemala.

While the eight callups will hurt Sigi Schmid's ability to improve the club's offensive punch, only Mansaray and Samuel are missing games.
