Seattle Sounders vs Houston Dynamo 2016: Game time, TV schedule and live stream for MLS match five

Both teams only have one win, the game starts at 1 PM on ESPN. That's a lot of ones.

There was a time when a Houston Dynamo versus Seattle Sounders FC match would be an MLS Cup Playoff preview. Today is not that time. Both teams are below the red line. Few expect Houston to challenge in the West and Seattle is chock full of disappointment. There is hope in Seattle.

Not having the services of Nelson Haedo Valdez means that the Sounders will get away from their crossing game. It should mean that Clint Dempsey, Jordan Morris and Andreas Ivanschitz get tricky. The Dynamo tend to allow teams into the 6-yard-box, Clint should be great at that. Without the high heat of a Texas summer this is a good opportunity for Seattle to go on the road and grab points.

Keys to Game:

  • Force fouls in dangerous areas (Seattle is good at set-pieces, Houston doesn't foul though)
  • Accept possession and use it (Houston is poor possession and passing team)
  • Penetrate the 6 (Houston allows 2nd most shots inside 6)
  • Avoid the air war (both teams are top 5 in MLS)
