Without a point in three games and with several players coming off international appearances, the Seattle Sounders are going with a distinctly different starting lineup against the Montreal Impact than they have until now. Clint Dempsey is sliding back to midfield, Aaron Kovar is in for Jordan Morris, Dylan Remick is replacing Joevin Jones and Brad Evans returns at center back. Also of note is Herculez Gomez making his first bench for the Sounders.

Although the lineup is listed as a 4-3-3, this will almost certainly play more as a 4-2-3-1 as the prospect of Dempsey defending as a true midfielder seems remote, at best. Similarly, Kovar and Invanschitz are more wingers than out and out forwards.
