By now, you've likely seen or at least heard about Barcelona's tribute to Johan Cruyff. It came before the weekend's most watched soccer match -- Saturday's El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid -- after all, and was plenty impressive.
But the display Ajax and their fans put together was on a whole other emotional level, which makes sense as their connection to Cruyff was arguably even stronger and deeper. Just watch this video:
That's what a stadium full of more than 50,000 fans sounds like when they are singing the Ajax anthem "Bloed, Zweet & Tranen" in unison for nearly four minutes. What's almost as stunning is the full minute of silence that comes just before kickoff, when barely a sound can be heard inside the packed ArenA.
This was all preceded by a group of 1,500 fans who marched through Amsterdam singing songs and paying tribute to the Dutch legend as they made their way from De Meer Stadion -- Ajax's former home -- to the newer ArenA.
