Sigi Schmid says that it shouldn't affect his time with the Sounders

FOX Sports has announced its lineup of talking heads and reporters for this summer's Copa America Centenario, including Seattle Sounders forward Herculez Gomez. It seems that Gomez's first action in this role will come in the very first match of the tournament on June 3, as he'll be part of the pre-match, halftime, and post-match commentary alongside Alexi Lalas, Fernando Fiore, Eric Wynalda and Aly Wagner for the United States' match against Colombia.

Gomez's role as a color analyst pairs him with Dallas Mavericks and FC Dallas play-by-play announcer Mark Followill for broadcast duties throughout the tournament. Other analysts on the broadcast team include former USMNT players Stuart Holden, Cobi Jones, and Brad Friedel.

Major League Soccer is set to take a break for the first part of the tournament from June 3-14, but teams will still be training during that stretch. Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid said that "it should be worked around, there are no training sessions that I'm aware of that he's going to be missing."
