Instant Replay: Dunseth breaks down the unfortunate Erik Friberg PK call in New England

Dunseth gives his view on if Fotis Bazakos was right or wrong on the PK call, I promise I won't spoil it.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Brian Dunseth broke down the controversial calls from the weekend's games and shockingly decided to include the questionable PK call that had roughly zero impact on the Sounders - Revolution match. While Dunseth doesn't have many camera angles at his disposal, he does his best to decide if referee Fotis Bazakos was right or wrong in calling Erik Friberg for a hand ball off Zach Scott's clearance. Dunseth goes into a bit of detail on Bazakos' positioning and whether or not Friberg could have reacted to the clearance or not, including a slightly detailed look at Friberg leaving his feet upon being hit.

Seattle isn't the only controversial PK related call that Dunseth looks at: watch for Octavio Rivero getting pulled down in the box with no resulting penalty, and former Portland Timbers midfielder Will Johnson getting his penalty kick goal whistled by the referee for something his teammate Jay Chapman did. Spoiler alert, he missed the second attempt thanks to a good save by Luis Robles.
