Fox Soccer moving studio show to Seattle for Copa America quarterfinal

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

If it seems like the soccer community is a little extra excited about having the United States play their Copa America Centenario quarterfinal in Seattle, it's for good reason. Ever since The USMNT clinched the top spot in Group A there's been a palpable buzz about the unexpected date to the degree that Fox Soccer has called an audible and is moving their studio show for the match. The news was announced live on-air prior to the Mexico-Venezuela match.

Until now, all of the pre-, half- and post-game studio work during the Copa America has been broadcast from Los Angeles. As recently as Sunday, that was apparently the plan for the quarterfinals as well.

But Fox Soccer apparently sensed that something special may be brewing in our little soccer hamlet. So Rob Stone, Alexi Lalas, Aly Wagner, Fernando Fiore and others will be going on the road.

The least we can do is make it all worth their while...
