Thursday's regional draw for the 5th Round of the Open Cup first lumped the 14 remaining MLS sides and 2 NASL teams into geographic groups. Seattle Sounders FC were in the West with potential pairings of LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers and Real Salt Lake. Sounders were drawn against RSL, who will host on June 28th in middle of a six match in 16 days run.

The winner of the LA-Portland match will host the Sounders-RSL winner.

Salt Lake is away at Dallas on June 25th, their match prior to the Open Cup tilt against Seattle. The Sounders host NYCFC on the 25th and then head to RSL (USOC) and TFC (MLS) for a week.

Brad Evans and Sigi Schmid will be eligible for the match against Salt Lake, but Clint Dempsey will remain suspended.

US Soccer's draw for the semifinals and final is on July 21st.

The full draw as it currently stands follows;

Seattle Sounders FC is attempting to win their 5th Dewar Trophy. That would tie the record for most Open Cup titles that is currently held by Bethlehem Steel and Maccabi Los Angeles.
