There’s been no shortage of buzz surrounding today’s Copa America quarterfinal, featuring the United States and Ecuador. Whether it be the constant updates on ticket sales, Fox Soccer moving their studio to Seattle or anticipation over the atmosphere, it seems like America’s soccer eyes are fully trained on our fair city.
In recognition of all that, King County Executive Director has declared today "U.S. Men's National Soccer Team Day."

Sure, it’s a mostly empty acknowledgement, but it does show how aware this market is of soccer. It’s an indication of just how much a part of the local fabric soccer is here, and part of what makes this such a special market.
