Copa America Centenario

USA! USA! USA! All our coverage of the Copa America Quarterfinal that saw the USMNT defend their slim lead to defeat Ecuador is here in this convenient storystream.

As you probably already know, the USA is in foul trouble going into their next match. Jermaine Jones saw a straight red, and Bobby Wood and Alejandro Bedoya received second yellows in the tournament, meaning all three players will be unavailable for the semi.

US Captain Michael Bradley was wearing a rainbow-striped armband during the match against Ecuador, in memory of the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting and their families. Here's how FOX and Univision TV viewership for all the Copa group stage games stack up to one another. USA vs. Colombia tops the list.

Major League Soccer

Watching Argentina recently (and with such a long break from MLS), you may have forgotten about the other Higuain. Things are not going quite as well with Federico, who will miss 5-7 weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery. Columbus is in a world of hurt this season.

Don't know much about sports hernias? Massive Report has you covered, all the way down to a photo of the surgery.

DC United is said to have made an offer for Costa Rican striker Jonathan McDonald, who plays at LD Alajualense. The 34-year-old's arrival might signal a current DC striker would be on the outs.

Vincent Nogueira has left the Philadelphia Union and returned to France. The two parties agreed to terminate his contract due to personal health issues.

Lucas Melano may not be headed to Boca Juniors after all. According to Merritt Paulson's twitter ravings, Boca wanted Melano on a "free loan."

Seattle

Four Four Two examines the Duality of Deuce. At 33, Dempsey is a "risky investment," but he's probably still worth it, for both club and country.

USOC and CCL

CONCACAF Champions' League will now pay out $500,000 to the winner, making it the most lucrative competition in the region for an MLS team to win (more than USOC and MLS Cup).

Was the Galaxy's opportunistic goal against amateurs La Maquina FC of the UPSL 'cheap'? Many have said yes, LAG Confidential says no.

World

In important news that affects us all, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has switched from Nike sponsorship to Adidas. What can it mean??
