The Joevin Jones-as-a-forward experiment will continue at least one more week. The speed winger will be on the left again, with Jordan Morris and Aaron Kovar completing the forward band. Nelson Valdez, who is apparently healthy, is on the bench.

What will be interesting is how Andreas Ivanschitz and Erik Friberg handle their roles. Ivanschitz will likely be the more attacking of the two, but Friberg will surely get forward a fair share as well.
The bench will have a few interesting options as well. In addition to Valdez, Herculez Gomez and Oalex Anderson are the offensive options. Michael Farfan gets his second bench appearance of the season, as well.
Sounders Bench: Miller, Scott, Farfan, Roldan, Anderson, Gomez, Valdez.
New York City FC will counter with a lineup that features all three of their Designated Players.
