Despite going down 2-0 to Colombia in the Copa America Centenario opener, Jurgen Klinsmann is sending out the exact same lineup against Costa Rica. Seattle Sounders' Clint Dempsey, arguably the USA's biggest attacking threat in the last match, starts at center forward again. Former Sounder DeAndre Yedlin also starts at right-back.

Clint Dempsey is the only player on the entire US roster who has scored against Costa Rica, most recently in 2014 World Cup Qualifying. He also scored his first ever international goal at tonight's venue, Soldier Field, all the way back in 2005 in a friendly against England. Soldier Field is also an important venue for the USMNT -- they hold an unbeaten 5-0-0 record at the Chicago stadium.
The budding US-Costa Rica rivalry, rooted in the infamous Snowclasico in 2013, has been all Costa Rica since that controversial 1-0 USA win; Costa Rica won both matches played since by a combined score of 4-1.
