Sounders at Toronto FC: Clint Dempsey and Brad Evans fail to make 18

Lineup includes Captain Zach Scott (happy birthday) and midfield of Roldan, Friberg and Alonso

Toronto FC is decimated by injury, while the Seattle Sounders are merely weakened by the loss of Brad Evans to a calf injury while resting Clint Dempsey after the Copa America. This means that the midfield is quite defensive in nature with Osvaldo Alonso working alongside Cristian Roldan and Erik Friberg.

Like Roldan Zach Scott, captain, played in the 120 minute win over Real Salt Lake. The rest of the defense is quite strong with Tyron Mears, Chad Marshall and Joevin Jones starting.

Up top Jordan Morris is flanked by crossing expert Andreas Ivanschitz and Aaron Kovar.

Sigi Schmid's bench is young in the back and old up top.

Toronto FC is listing their lineup as a 3-5-2 with a central midfield absent their three best non-Giovinco players.
