Expansion franchises in need of coaches, the MLS All-star game, and how to get CR7 in your bed.

Now that Sigi is on the market, the question is which team he will go to. An obvious possibility is LAFC in Sigi's home town.

But LAFC isn't the only upcoming expansion side that will need an experienced coach. It's impossible to rule out the possibility of Atlanta wooing him.

One of the many articles analyzing Sigi's departure came from The Guardian. While it is largely on point, I have an awfully hard time imagining Sigi taking over the US National Team.

According to Grant Wahl, Julian Green has said that he will not play in Bayern Munich's reserves squad this year and is only aiming for the senior team. It isn't clear what his fallback position would be.

It looks like US National keeper Brad Guzan is to be signed by Middlesbrough FC who was promoted to the Premier League for the upcoming season.

The USL will hold their summer meeting today to finalize the structure of their 2017 season. This includes determining the length of the season, number of games, and playoff format.


The soccer matches of the Rio Olympics start next week. NBC Sports has ranked the top 20 male and female players who will participate in these games.
