The Sounders are putting out a strong starting lineup against West Ham United, but by no means a full-strength one. There are six changes from the squad that took the pitch at Toronto on Saturday.
Chad Marshall, Brad Evans, and Tyrone Mears get a rest in defense, with Dylan Remick and Stefan Frei maintaining their spots. Tony Alfaro and Zach Scott will continue to hold it down as centerbacks.
Nathan Sturgis steps into the center of midfield, and Osvaldo Alonso and Erik Friberg will sit. Up top, Herculez Gomez and Oalex Anderson will step into the starting lineup, with Aaron Kovar staying on the right flank.

This will be a chance for Sigi Schmid to give some reserve players an in-game look against superior competition.
