For the first time since March 19, all three of the Sounders' (theoretically) strongest attackers are in the starting XI to face LA Galaxy. Clint Dempsey, returning for his first match since going on international duty for the Copa America, starts at center forward in the Sounders' usual 4-3-3 formation. Nelson Valdez, who hasn't started in months due to injury, international duty, and poor form, also returns to the starting lineup at left wing. Jordan Morris is set to start at right wing, where he hasn't really played since earlier this season.
The Sounders are also starting with what is probably their strongest midfield: Cristian Roldan, Erik Friberg, and Osvaldo Alonso. The defense is about as expected, with Brad Evans still out with a calf strain -- Sigi had said it would be a game-time decision. Attacking options on the bench include Andreas Ivanschitz, Herculez Gomez, Aaron Kovar, and Oalex Anderson.
Here it is...YOUR #Sounders Starting XI, thanks to @Delta!
