Jordan Morris was given the Mario Bros. effect he deserved

You were not the only person who thought Morris’ run reminded you the Super Star power up.

Jordan Morris’ rampaging run through the Portland Timbers was truly a sight to behold. The Seattle Sounders rookie basically went 1-on-3 — with two defenders draped all over him at any given time — to win a free kick late in Sunday’s match.

Anyone who grew up playing Mario Bros. or spent some light nights playing Mario Kart probably felt a tinge of nostalgia watching the play unfold. Thanks to the genius of our very own Jose Rivera, we can now see the play unfold the way it probably did in your mind.
