The Trinidad & Tobago Football Association announced the roster for their upcoming CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches, including Seattle Sounders left-back Joevin Jones. Another notable inclusion is Kenwyne Jones (also named captain), who was recently announced as a signing for incoming MLS expansion club Atlanta United FC.
T&T have qualifying matches against Guatemala on September 2 and the United States on September 6. As with his other club teammates, Jones hopefully won’t miss any matches due to the Sounders having a bye week during this stretch.
Former Sounders Cordell Cato is one of four other MLS players called up as well. Only the Colorado Rapids Mekeil Williams is certain to miss a league game. Orlando City’s Kevin Molino may not return in time for his next match with the Lions.
