Just two games into Nicolas Lodeiro’s MLS career, he’s already had a massive impact on the Seattle Sounders. The midfielder has helped transform the Sounders from a punchless team with virtually no attack into one that can waste chances and STILL figure out how to score.
We’ve talked about how massive of an impact he had in his debut, and you can rest assured we’ll have all sorts of numbers that illustrate his awesomeness in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Orlando City SC.
But there might not be a more clear endorsement than when other players talk about how much they wished that they got to play with him.
You know Lodeiro is special when me and @eddie_johnson7 randomly call each other on a Sunday to say we wish we played with him.

Considering Steve Zakuani and Eddie Johnson both played with some pretty great playmakers in their days, that’s particularly high praise. Now, just imagine what Lodeiro will be looking like after he’s had a few weeks to actually train with his new teammates.
