Olympics

Mexico still has a good chance to defend their gold medal in Rio but they'll have to do it without Oribe Peralta and Rodolfo Pizzaro after injuries have sent them home. Despite going down early to Fiji, Mexico found their way back through Erick Gutierrez scoring not one, but four goals.

Germany almost blew it against South Korea, multiple times, but a late goal from an Arsenal midfielder tied it up for European side.

Europe

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made an immediate impact with his new club, Manchester Unitedscoring the winner in the community shield.

Chester England's Erin Cross, a six year old girl, came to Seattle for leukemia treatment and her and her family have quickly become new Sounders supporters from across the pond.

AC Milan has a new owner with Silvio Berlusconi finally selling the club, selling for essentially face value to Yonghong Li. This might be just what AC Milan needs to challenge Juventus in Serie A.

If you are a Borussia Dortmund fan you'll be happy to hear this, Christian Pulisic is not leaving the club and is likely still in the rotation. If you wanted him on loan or sold to your club though, sorry.

US Soccer

T2 finally got a win, after being unable to find one for eight matches they did it against Los Dos which helps S2's run up the standings.

Former US National Team keeper Tony Meola joins Adrian Heath as the second professional soccer coach fired in the last few weeks after Jacksonville Armada decided to move on from him.

Sticking with the Florida theme, former Mariner Ichiro Suzuki hit his 3,000 MLB hit joining an elite party. Is this soccer related? No... but I have to think with how good and athletic he is, he'd be at least average at soccer.
