One of the trademarks of LevyFilms’ highlights are that the game action is almost always shot from behind the goal. It’s not always the “best” shot, but it does serve to give us a different view than we’re accustomed to seeing.
But sometimes, it’s both. A perfect example is the footage of Jordan Morris’ game-winning goal.
This is perfect. We can almost see the exact instant when Nicolas Lodeiro spots Morris’ run. We can also see how David Edgar seems to be in position to make a play, prepares to jump only to realize he’s been beaten. The payoff comes a couple seconds later when Morris comes flying into the screen and meets the ball squarely with the side of his head. Doesn’t get much better than that.
