The Chicago Fire have never won in Seattle in five tries (4 in MLS and once for the US Open Cup). Only once have the Seattle Sounders dropped points to the Fire. Tonight need not be the second time they do that. Tonight is the night that the Seattle Sounders can pull themselves above the red line.

Hilario Grajeda is the center ref for the game in his 137th MLS match. Clint Dempsey is still out due to his heart issue. Matt Lampson is unavailable for the Chicago Fire. They list John Goossens as questionable. Brad Evans and Erik Friberg are questionable for Seattle. Three Sounders will miss their next match if they get a yellow today - Osvaldo Alonso, Joevin Jones, Nicolas Lodeiro. No players are suspended.
