US Soccer

The USMNT continued their dominance over Trinidad and Tobago, but in doing so set up a date with CONCACAF rivals Mexico for their first game of the next round.

Even though he's just 17 and even though we have a very small sample size of club and national team games to draw from, it's very clear that none of the other USMNT attackers have Pulisic's combination of skill, creativity and intelligence.

Coming off a strong Copa America Centenario, Geoff Cameron is riding a fine run of form while settling in as a center back for club and country.

Changes to American soccer are coming. U.S. Soccer is changing (or, rather, adding) standards for U6-U12 development, including new birth-year registration changes (1/1-12/31) and a stated emphasis on learning the fundamentals and enjoying the game, not winning.  It remains to be seen whether parents and coaches get the message.

Seattle Soccer

Former Seattle Sounder academy director Darren Sawatzky is starting his international coaching career in Guam. The current Tacoma Stars coach will take over the job that was vacated by his close friend Gary White.

Rookie defender Tony Alfaro and local boy Darwin Jones are named to the USL Team of the Week.

Seattle Sounders forward Oalex Anderson recorded a brace for St. Vincent and the Grenadines with goals in the 10th and 29th minutes before being subbed off in the 63rd.

World Soccer

Borussia Dortmund's teenage superstar Christian Pulisic was the subject of an £11m bid from Liverpool last month, but the American has revealed his loyalties lie elsewhere.

England U21 6-1 Norway U21: Marcus Rashford scores hat-trick as Gareth Southgate's men claim easy victory. The Manchester United forward shines in front of Big Sam.

Could the NAFTA agreement bring back the World Cup to North America, according to Gianni Infantino FIFA is open to it.

U.S. Gold Medal Olympian Hope Solo was banned from U.S. Soccer for "unacceptable" behavior, while male Olympians frolicked. Is there a double standard here?

The dwindling number of Americans playing abroad has been a source of fret, but some have taken solid first steps up the European ladder.
