Some idiot is getting a butt tattoo of Celine Dion because Sounders won MLS Cup

Right around this time last year, Sounders fan Matt Oak made a rather bold promise:

For a good chunk of the season that seemed like a rather safe prediction, as the Sounders seemed far more likely to have their worst-ever season than anything that would result in glory. We all know how that turned out, though.

True to his word, Oak is following through, albeit by asking friends and fans of awful tattoos to help fund it. He says he’ll be getting the tattoo even if he can’t raise the full $550, but obviously appreciates any help he can get.

So far, the fund raising is going quite well. As of the writing of this story, Oak has already raised nearly 80 percent of the needed funds. Among the biggest donors is someone claiming to be Herculez Gomez. (UPDATE: About 20 minutes after this was posted, Oak reached his goal. All additional money raised will be donated to the Zach Scott Testimonial Fund.)
