Deandre Yedlin seems to have found his footing across the pond and has put together a string of strong performances for Newcastle in the Championship. Following his two assist performance versus Rothertham on Saturday, some were calling him 'the best fullback in the Championship".

With the Chargers on their way out of San Diego, an investment group is hoping to bring an expansion MLS team to the city, with a privately funded facility to boot.

While their Designated Player spot remains unfilled, the Vancouver Whitecaps did use some of their TAM to acquire Peruvian forward Yordy Reyna from FC Red Bull Salzburg.

United States:

The USWNT called eleven players of color to their January training camp, a microcosm of the sports larger growth in diversity.

Jurgen Klinsmann made his first public appearance since being fired by the USMNT, where he reiterated his interest in coaching again, while also pinning the reasoning for his firing to the last two results during his U.S. tenure.

Changes continue to abound in the lower divisions of U.S. Soccer, with Orange County Blues rebranding to Orange County SC.

Rest of the World:

FIFA's planned expansion of the World Cup hasn't gotten a warm reception in Europe, including the European Club Association President calling for Europe's biggest clubs to revolt against FIFA itself.

I cannot stop watching Robert Lewandowski somehow slot this goal into the bottom corner.

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea will be staying at Wembley on an interim basis, which could spell more full capacity games for the Football Association.

With Chelsea now eight points clear at the top of the table, some work will need to be done by those desiring the throne for the Premier League title race to become dramatic.
