Even Seattle Sounders FC’s depth players are getting called into CONCACAF teams. As Jamaica looks to rebound from a poor World Cup Qualifying cycle, they are set to face the United States (Feb. 3, 2017) and Honduras (Feb. 6, 2017). Joining them in those matches will be Seattle’s Oniel Fisher.
Fisher played mostly as a right back with Sounders in 2017, but also earned time on the left. He has three previous appearances with Jamaica.
Former Sounder and current Tampa Bay Rowdy Damion Lowe is also on the 20-man Jamaica squad.
The match against the United States on the 3rd will be in Chattanooga, Tennessee at 4 PM Pacific on Fox Sports 1. Seattle could have four players in the game as Brad Evans, Chad Marshall and Jordan Morris remain with the US team.
Evans and Fisher could be competing to start at right back for Brian Schmetzer’s Sounders in 2017.
