Sounders vs Colorado Rapids, live stream: Game time, TV schedule and lineups

Win and the Seattle Sounders get to rest. They can also get a bye if they draw, Portland loses AND Sporting KC doesn’t win. It’s easier if Seattle beats the Colorado Rapids, who are just an awful soccer team with less than half a goal scored per road match this year. They also give up two goals a game on the road.

Even with diminished selection due to injury the Seattle Sounders should be able to rage all through the weakened Rapids XI and their well-aged keeper. Will Bruin, Clint Dempsey and Nicolas Lodeiro should be enough firepower.

The defense should remain strong. Chad Marshall is a Defender of the Year candidate and Roman Torres is back to being Panama’s Hulk, smashing everything in his way. Cristian Roldan and whoever his partner is should be able to limit attacks against them as well.

Absences: Injury, international duty and suspension

Seattle: Osvaldo Alonso, Brad Evans, Gustav Svensson and Jordan Morris are out injured. Victor Rodriguez is questionable.

Colorado: Micheal Azira and Jared Watts are both out injured. Mekeil Williams is questionable.

No players will be suspended for accumulation, only fined. None are Sounders.
