MLS

Toronto FC’s appeal of Jozy Altidore’s red card was denied. He will not be able to play in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Finals after his red card was upheld. The MLS disciplinary committee still needs to rule as well, meaning he could still miss more than one game.

Sounds like New York City FC is about to make another Pirlo-style mistake. There are talks that Yaya Toure may be on his way to New York from Manchester City. Hudson River Blue thinks Toure is the wrong move for New York City FC.

USA

Sounds like Real Salt Lake will have a team join the NWSL. FC Kansas City, 2014 and 2015 NWSL Champions, will cease to exist and Real Salt Lake will get a new team. Real will become the fourth MLS team to own an NWSL club following Portland, Houston and Orlando.

The US Men’s National Team drew 1-1 with Portugal on Tuesday. Matthew Doyle takes a look at the current state of their depth chart.

Cal United FC is expected to make a big announcement concerning who will coach their team. Preki is expected to be their first coach as they head into their first season in the NASL.

Don’t worry, the San Francisco Deltas, the current NASL Champions, are still in existence. Originally, the Mercury News put out an article stating that the club folded shortly after winning the championship. Luckily for players and fans, it was a mistake and the Mercury News corrected their article.

World
