Thanks to goals by Gustav Svensson and Will Bruin the Seattle Sounders carry a two-nil away victory to their home match against the Houston Dynamo. With any win, any draw, and any one-goal loss they would advance. Houston advances with any two-goal or more win (unless it is 2-0 which would force extra time and maybe penalties).

The winner faces Toronto FC on December 9th at 1 PM Pacific. The loser starts their offseason.

Absences: Injury, international duty and suspension

Seattle: Brad Evans is out with a back injury. Osvaldo Alonso, Stefan Frei and Jordan Morris are all questionable due to injury. Roman Torres is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

Houston: A.J. DeLaGarza is out injured. Tyler Deric is suspended due to domestic violence allegations. Alberth Elis is suspended due to yellow card accumulation. Jalil Anibaba is suspended for his red card.

No players can earn yellow card accumulation suspensions. Any player with a red on the winning team will miss MLS Cup. Players with reds on the losing team will miss their next MLS match.

Alan Kelly is the center referee. Edvin Jurisevic is the VAR.
