As they did before last year’s trip to the MLS Cup final, the Seattle Sounders are partnering with the city of Tukwila for an official sendoff celebration that will be open to the public.
Starting at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, Dec. 6, fans can watch the final 25 minutes of the Sounders’ final home practice on Field 12 at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. After the session, fans can line up outside the training pitch and cheer for the players as they exit and prepare for the trip to Toronto.
The club notes that due to time constraints, fans are asked to refrain from seeking autographs at this time. It’s also worth noting that while Starfire is large, it could fill up quickly. Space near the pitch is first-come, first-served, though there should be enough on the path to the locker room for fans to line up afterwards.
Parking space is also limited, so fans are encouraged to carpool or take public transit if possible.
