A rematch in MLS Cup is a great thing. Toronto FC has the storyline of revenge, merged with the possibility of being the greatest team in MLS history. Only one thing stands in their way. The Seattle Sounders aren’t interested in last year. They are unconcerned with history. To quote Gustav Svensson, "last year is last year...this year is just about this season and about winning this year."

A legacy will be built over 90 minutes today (or 120, or maybe even penalty kicks). The winner becomes either a repeat champion or the first MLS treble. I know what I would prefer.

Seattle: Brad Evans is out with a back injury. Osvaldo Alonso is still out with a quad strain.

Toronto: Jozy Altidore is questionable with the ankle issue that plagued him against Columbus.
