Another former Seattle Sounders player is rejoining the team, but this time it is because the roster lacks a bit of depth for Sunday’s scrimmage against College of Charleston (8 AM, twitter coverage only). Kenny Cooper, who only played 82 competitive minutes in 2015 and was last with the Sounders in 2014, will be a guest player.
Club spokesperson confirms that Cooper is just a guest player, not on trial. https://t.co/F4w9sYCgEp

With Jordan Morris carrying a mild ankle injury, Will Bruin going 90 minutes against Columbus and Clint Dempsey playing 82 minutes in that loss, the forward roster is shallow.
Current forwards that did not play and are healthy are HGP Seyi Adekoya and trialist David Olsen. Both have also played in the attacking band, where the team only has Zach Mathers and the two subs in Saturday’s game - Harry Shipp and Henry Wingo.
The scrimmage against College of Charleston could go a long way for the players vying for the few spots left on the MLS roster. Nana-Sinkham, Olsen, Mathers, Delem, Rogers, Barnes and Jake Morris could all make statements that demand a contract.
