According to a report out of Cameroon, the chairman of Union Douala has confirmed that Felix Emmanuel Cédric Chenkam Nganle will be joining the Sounders. It is safe to assume that he will play for Seattle Sounders 2 as this signing fits with earlier comments by Coach Ezra Hendrickson to Sounder at Heart that S2 would be adding a couple of CAF U20 internationals to the roster.
The 18-year-old striker just finished competing in the African U20 Cup of Nations with fellow Cameroonian and current Sounder Nouhou Tolo. Chenkam Nganle saw time on the field during the U20 Cup of Nations but was unable to add any goals or assists. There is not much more information on Chenkam Nganle out there, but there did appear to be quite a bit of buzz about his 2015 season in the Cameroonian first division.
Chenkam Nganle would be the third young Cameroonian to play for S2. His countrymen Mark O’Ojong and Tolo were two of the top performers for S2 last year, and the team will be hoping they have found a similarly talented player in Chenkam Nganle.
