Once at each other's throats, Osvaldo Alonso and Will Bruin now sharing embraces

Osvaldo Alonso has one red card over the last three seasons. It came in a match against the Houston Dynamo in which Alonso got himself ejected after literally going after Will Bruin’s throat following a questionable tackle.

The two players are, of course, now teammates and it was interesting to see one of the first players to embrace Bruin after his equalizing goal on Saturday was none other than Alonso. Reddit user doublemazaa noticed this too, mashing up the two incidents in this video:

Alonso’s, ahem, competitiveness has never been in question. But he’s also one of the most popular players on the team. This is just the latest example of how players hate going against him but love having him on their side.

This is also another piece of proof that Alonso doesn’t seem to be one to carry over any grudges. If there were any lingering bad feelings over that incident, they appear to be long gone.
