Jordan Morris puts the Sounders up 2-1

The Sounders regain the lead in their home opener

Even though the match was only 1-1 through 65 minutes, a second Sounders goal felt inevitable after their endless attacking of the Red Bulls goal. Some great work by Joevin Jones, including a great nutmeg near the end line, finally made that happen. Jones left his defender in the dust and passed to an open Nicolas Lodeiro in the middle of the box, who crossed it beautifully for Jordan Morris at the far post. Morris left no doubt and buried it in the back of the net to put the Sounders back in the lead.
