Not too long after the Sounders had stopped celebrating their go-ahead goal, Joevin Jones took a rather hopeful shot from outside the box that looked to headed right for Luis Robles. Luckily for the Sounders (and unluckily for Robles), Jones’ shot hit his teammate Harry Shipp and deflected into the Red Bulls’ near post and out of Robles’ reach to make it 3-1 to the Sounders after 78 minutes.
