A few days before the Seattle Sounders take on the Houston Dynamo to begin their quest to repeat as MLS Cup champions, the front office has announced their 2017 regional broadcast lineup.

Keith Costigan and Matt Johnson will reprise their play-by-play roles on TV and radio, respectively. Jackie Montgomery will return as host of the pre-match, halftime, and post-match coverage with Taylor Graham, Marcus Hahnemann, Steve Zakuani, and Seattle University Head Coach Pete Fewing.

A new addition will be Zach Scott. He will be a special contributor and will make periodic appearances for the pre-match, halftime, and post-game shows.

Kasey Keller will also return as broadcast analyst on the TV side of things, while his radio counterpart will be a stable of analysts in former Sounders Danny Jackson and Wade Webber, as well as Fewing.

Q13 FOX and JoeTV will remain as the club’s home for their regional broadcasts, while Root Sports will once again offer live out-of-market TV coverage. KUNS-TV, Univision-Seattle, will return to provide televised Spanish language coverage for 10 games this season and will also provide 15 30-minute episodes of Sounders FC en Acción.

On the regional radio side, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM and El Rey 1360 AM will continue their matchday coverage of the Sounders in English and Spanish, respectively. A 60-minute Sounders focused show will air on KIRO 97.3 FM at 9:00 p.m. PT every Thursday evening throughout the season. El Rey will provide a 30 minute show called Somos Sounders FC every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. PT.

"We are thrilled to continue these relationships with our incredible broadcast partners, as their commitment enables Sounders fans to follow their team closely throughout the season with a variety of options," said Sounders FC Chief Operating Officer Bart Wiley. "We are also pleased to continue with such an experienced group of broadcast talent across our many platforms, offering fans a diverse array of analysis and insight surrounding the team. We truly believe our club has one of the most thorough broadcast lineups in the league, and we're eager for the season to begin Saturday in Houston."

The Sounders have also partnered with Sinclair Broadcasting Group to air Sounders Spanish language programming. Sounders FC Fútbol en Vivo will return on April 8 against the San Jose Earthquakes and will be hosted by Jaime Mendez and analyst Diego Arrioja. Sinclair will also be responsible for the 15 episodes of Sounders FC en Acción.

"We are again honored to serve as the home of the MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders FC for our Hispanic community," said Sinclair Media of Seattle Vice-President & General Manager Janene Drafs. "On behalf of the fastest-growing segment of Sounders fútbol fans we say: Vamos, Sounders!"

Play-by-play voice "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez alongside Carlos Tapia and Felipe Maqueda will cover games on El Rey. Somos Sounders FC will be hosted by Maqueda, who will be joined by Carolina Antipolo, Niko Moreno, Hugo M. López, and Marco Canseco.
