Honduras is struggling against the United States. Sebastian Lletget, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey all scored by the 32nd minute. Despite missing several of their best players, the USA under Bruce Arena exploded to a lead. The third goal was their best old outfield player, Seattle Sounders forward/midfielder Clint Dempsey, and their best young player, Christian Pulisic.
This was not the passing of the guard. This is the young squire aiding the man who showed him how good American soccer could be. Pulisic may eventually pass Dempsey in overall performance, but today it was the youngster’s pass that set Clint free.
Deuce up side your head, I said Deuce up side your head.
Clint Dempsey sure looks healthy to us! And how about that pass by Christian Pulisic? #USMNT is rolling! #USAvHON https://t.co/sB2uNKoTJX

Clint Dempsey laughs at your doubt. He’s back. He is fully, completely back. He is fully functional. Clint is back. CONCACAF should be worried.
Dempsey scored on his 14th touch via Opta. He is true to who he is, a man capable of changing the game on any given moment.
