How to Watch MLS on Unimas MLS Watercolorist

Three Big Storylines:

  1. Bastian Schweinsteiger will make his MLS debut on Saturday as the Chicago Fire host the Montreal Impact (Noon, MLS Live). The newly minted Designated Player is being added to a midfield anchored by Dax McCarty and Juninho. The Fire are looking to bounce back after getting run over by Atlanta United 4-0 in Week 3. Ignacio Piatti is out for Montreal with a groin injury.
  2. Minnesota United will attempt to get their first win as an MLS franchise when they host Real Salt Lake. On Friday the Loons traded for Sam Cronin and Marc Burch in an attempt to shore up a defense that has given up 18 goals in four games. Real Salt Lake has struggled to start the season with only two points from four games and it has already lead to a coaching change. Interim head coach Daryl Shore managed the team’s 0-0 draw at New York Red Bulls last weekend when Jeff Cassar was fired after three games. New permanent coach Mike Petke will make his RSL debut on Saturday (5 PM, MLS Live).
  3. It was a week of trades in MLS and the Vancouver Whitecaps started it off when they traded Kekuta Manneh to the Columbus Crew SC for Tony Tchani and $225,000 in Targeted Allocation Money and $75,000 in General Allocation Money. The Whitecaps host the LA Galaxy Saturday night (7 PM, MLS Live). The Galaxy will be without Sebastian Lletget due to a broken foot suffered with the USMNT. Gyasi Zardes has been cleared to play for the Galaxy and Jermaine Jones will be looking to make a positive impression after not being happy by criticism of his play for the USMNT in Panama on Tuesday.

From a Sounders Point of View:

The Sunday night national TV game will see the Portland Timbers host the New England Revolution. Go Revs.

The Seattle Sounders next opponent is the San Jose Earthquakes, they are in New York to visit Yankee Stadium and play New York City FC on Saturday (11 AM, MLS Live). Thus keep a scouting eye on that contest and go NYCFC.
