Major Link Soccer: Cascadia kicks off

Toronto FC defender Drew Moor got some bad news: An irregular heartbeat was detected after a training session, and he'll need to take time off for further testing. He'll miss at least the upcoming Columbus Crew match as he's evaluated.

Seattle

The Sounders have swept the votes this week, with Stefan Frei joining Nicolas Lodeiro's goal with his Save of the Week win. The dive to his left to push out Marco Ureña's impressive volley was a tough save that Frei made look pretty easy.

The Cascadia Cup champions take on the MLS Cup champions when Seattle visits the Vancouver Whitecaps. Eighty-Six forever has the preview of the first Cascadia match of the year.

The Sounders FC live broadcast has been nominated for a Northwest Emmy. It's their fifth nomination, and they won in 2010.

A Sounder will join Whitworth Pirates this coming fall as a freshman. DeVonte Gorman played with the Spokane Sounders.
