The Vancouver Whitecaps are now able to focus on MLS play alone. But their CCL run cost them talented players, points on the table and their first week in purely league play is against their oldest rivals - the Seattle Sounders. This Cascadia Cup match is the first of 2017. It will feature two former Seattle DPs suiting up for the Whitecaps. Both Fredy Montero (likely starter) and Mauro Rosales (likely bench player) were captains during their time in Seattle. They now look to lead a rival. Q13 FOX is showing the 7 PM game throughout their broadcast area.

Roman Torres joins Brad Evans (calf) and Aaron Kovar (groin) out for this contest. No Sounders are questionable. Vancouver’s injury list is quite large. David Edgar is on the season ending injury list. Marco Bustos, Erik Hurtado, Brett Levis, Yordy Reyna ,and Brek Shea are all out. Christian Bolaños is questionable. No players are in danger of suspension due to yellow card accumulation.
