The Vancouver Whitecaps are good at this Cascadia thing lately. The combination of Fredy Montero being too much for his former team to handle and a Seattle Sounders attack that found many ways to fail resulted in a 2-1 loss. Seattle had chances to change the game, with a notable Clint Dempsey shot pinging off the crossbar, among others, but only Will Bruin’s late strike found the back of the net.
Another frustrating match, but it’s time to do our duty and rate the players’ individual efforts. Gustav Svensson stepped back into the center of defense, where he seems more and more comfortable. Oniel Fisher had another go at the right back position as well. How did they, and the rest of the usual suspects, do against the ‘Caps?
