If the Seattle Sounders can manage a victory at StubHub Center they will tie the LA Galaxy for wins since 2009. It’s a small milestone, but it is part of the reason why ESPN wanted this game when they sat with MLS, FOX and Univision discussing the league’s schedule. This is an afternoon game (1 PM, ESPN) in order to maximize the audience that can enjoy the top two clubs in the league. It should be an entertaining match, even without the star power of years’ past.

Robbie Rogers and Sebastian Lleget are both out. Clement Diop is questionable. Joao Pedro is in danger of suspension due to yellow card accumulation, but would need to pick up two cards.
