Even though the Galaxy started to put together some half-decent attacks, it was the Sounders who scored yet again just before the halftime whistle. Seattle overwhelmed the Galaxy defense as Clint Dempsey burst into the box and passed to Jordan Morris on the wing. The young forward cut inside and fired it past Brian Rowe to put Seattle up 3-0 in the 44th minute.
