Seattle Sounders vs. Atlanta United: Community player ratings form

This high-profile match ended in a stalemate, but let’s rate the individual performances.

MLS: Atlanta United FC at Seattle Sounders FC Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

With changes upon changes to the backline, the Seattle Sounders looked susceptible to the dangers of the high-flying Atlanta United FC offense. But AUFC had injury and fitness problems of their own, leading to a blunted attack. Seattle came out looking to disrupt and punish the expansion side’s efforts to go forward, but despite some good chances the men in green couldn’t reward their home fans.

That shouldn’t take away from some exciting action in this match, nor from some very good performances. Cristian Roldan was everywhere again, and Shipp put in effort on both sides of the ball as well — how did they do? We saw two young players step into defense and hold their own, so what did you think of Jordy Delem and Tony Alfaro?

At this point does Clint Dempsey get a zero for not scoring a hat trick? You tell us.

Note: Some readers are experiencing rendering issues with the form on this page, especially on iOS devices. Here is a direct link to the form, we hope that allows everyone to submit a response.

Here's the scale:

(Substitutes can be left blank if the player did not play enough to judge)

1 - not a pro (USL/NASL/MLS) quality performance

4 - average USL starter

6 - average MLS starter

9 - MLS All Star

10 - MLS MVP-quality performance
