Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei has a knack for make exceptional saves against Toronto FC. During MLS Cup, it was “The Save” against Jozy Altidore that kept them in the game and eventually led to the Sounders first ever MLS Cup.

Last week, Frei made yet another exceptional save on Altidore. After receiving 50 percent of the vote this week, Frei won MLS Save of the Week.

In the 40th minute, Altidore received a pass at the top of the 18-yard box and spun around Gustav Svensson to free up some space. Altidore fired a shot that tailed away from Frei and was making its way to the right post. Frei read the short correctly and was able to react quick enough to get his left land to stop the shot and send it out for a corner.

Frei beat out Luis Robles (18%), Andre Blake (15%), Matt Van Okel (12%), and Brian Rowe (6%).
