This time the Seattle Sounders took their show on the road, treating the Chicago Fire fans at Toyota Park to a great show. The traveling supporters in green, though, had to settle for disappointment again. Despite an energetic start, Seattle fell apart in the last third of the match for a 4-1 loss.
The team that took the field was far from ideal. In fact it was probably the most makeshift squad yet in 2017. Cristian Roldan and Tony Alfaro started in defense, sending Gustav Svensson to the midfield. Bruin returned to a bench role in exchange for a start from Harry Shipp at his old club.
