The Sounders Academy is pleased with lessons learned from Generation adidas Cup experience as two academy players earned honors in England is last year’s Youdan Cup. Striker Azriel Gonzalez won the Golden Boot while midfielder Danny Robles took home Player of the Tournament honors.

The Unites States men’s national team is set to host Ghana in East Hartford in a pre-Gold Cup friendly. This will be the first time the two have faced off since the 2014 World Cup. The United Stats is 3-1-1 all-time in Connecticut. The game will be their final one before the US looks to claim another CONCACAF Gold Cup trophy.

With the US taking on Ghana, US Soccer looked at the US’s memorable past against Ghana. The Black Stars have knocked the US out of two of the last three World Cups.

The US U17 team defeated El Salvador 1-0 to finish undefeated in group play at the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship. They became only one of the two teams to collect the full nine points in group play, and will take on Group D winner Honduras on Wednesday, May 3.

The NWSL announced a deal with go90 just a few days before their historic fifth season. However, the go90 deal could be hurting the League. It appears that Cetys University is looking to cross the border From Mexico and try to join the NCAA. The university fields varsity-level teams in four sports for men and three sports for women. If they could somehow join, they would become the first Mexican member of the NCAA.
